Welthungerhilfe (WHH) has been active in Ukraine since March 2022, responding to the humanitarian crisis following Russia’s full-scale invasion. Registered in the country since August 2022, WHH delivers aid through the Joint Emergency Response in Ukraine (JERU) together with Concern Worldwide and other Alliance2015 partners, operating from offices in Kyiv and several frontline regions. The focus is on supporting internally displaced families and host communities, primarily through multipurpose cash assistance for essentials such as food, heating and medical care, reaching around 190,000 people by 2024. In addition, WHH provides food and hygiene supplies, psychosocial support, winter assistance and basic home repairs, while also promoting livelihoods through training and grants for small businesses.
The Cosmikk Foundation supports Welthungerhilfe Ukraine by strengthening the psychological resilience and leadership capacity of its team leaders working in high-pressure humanitarian environments. Rather than focusing on technical skills, the Foundation addresses the inner conditions that enable sustainable leadership under extreme stress. Through an integrated combination of resilience diagnostics, structured workshops, and individual coaching, it helps leaders better understand their personal stress patterns, regulate their energy, and connect their well-being with their leadership effectiveness. At a strategic level, the program aims to stabilize leadership systems in crisis contexts. By enhancing self-leadership, relational leadership, and clarity of purpose, the Foundation contributes to more resilient teams, more sustainable performance, and a stronger capacity to operate effectively in volatile frontline environments.
