Krisenchat Ukraine provides children, young people, and adults from Ukraine, as well as refugees, with free, confidential, and easily accessible psychosocial support via chat. Around the clock, those affected can reach trained counselors through WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS and talk in Ukrainian or Russian about their concerns – whether it’s fear, stress, trauma, loneliness, homesickness, or acute crises such as suicidal thoughts. The service offers low-threshold first aid and crisis intervention that helps to stabilize, provide orientation, and, if needed, refer to further support services.
The Cosmikk-Foundation has been supporting krisenchat Ukraine since 2023 by providing coaching for the active counselors themselves—those who offer psychosocial support to people affected by the war. By strengthening the resilience, leadership, and well-being of the counselors, we ensure that they can continue to help others effectively. In other words, we focus on “helping the helpers”, enabling them to stay motivated, supported, and capable of providing high-quality care in a challenging environment.
