About DACHZELTNOMADEN
The Dachzeltnomaden Aid Organization was a nonprofit initiative that originated from the community of Dachzeltnomads—people who love traveling with rooftop tents. Their mission was to provide direct, uncomplicated help where it was needed most, with heart and commitment. A particular focus of their work was their response in the Ahr Valley after the devastating flood disaster in July 2021. Beginning on July 31, 2021, the Dachzeltnomads started working in the Ahr Valley with immediate, hands-on relief efforts, initially as a team of seven. In the weeks that followed, their team grew to over 3,500 volunteers across roughly 70 affected locations.
Our Support for DACHZELTNOMADEN
Starting in November 2021, the Cosmikk-Foundation accompanied the Dachzeltnomaden Aid Organization for two and a half years through leadership coaching. Our focus was on strengthening leadership capacities, fostering collaboration within the team, and supporting the strategic development of their work. In this way, we helped the organization’s leaders and volunteers remain effective and resilient, enabling them to continue providing compassionate and sustainable assistance where it was most urgently needed.
